length of the film was limited by the short capacity of the 400 foot 35mm film reel, and filmed from a (supposedly) gyro-stabilised camera mounted on the bumper of a Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9. Lelouch himself claimed that the top speed achieved was over 200 km/h, somewhere between 230 km/h and 240 km/h. It is suggested that the sound was dubbed with the noise of Lelouch’s Ferrari 275GTB, which has a corresponding number of gears and a similar engine note. … C’était un rendez vous by C …

great things like this video still happen. Maybe not in the biggest cities anymore. In my hometown, Omaha, Nebraska, USA, the roads are almost exactly like this every morning. I could do this every morning if i wanted. But I don’t, obviously.

Oh and the fact that from 3:47 to 4.10, the reflection of *two* headlights can be seen in the windows on the right.

Anyone who thinks this was done on a bike is a total idiot. Google image search ‘lelouch camera’ and what’s the first image? Lelouch in front of his Mercedes with the gyro-stabilised camera fitted. Not to mention he himself has said it was in a car and that the sound is from an earlier run in his Ferrari.

im sayin its real. why would they go through so much trouble to mess around with cameras when they can just go fast as hell through paris?
January 28th, 2010 at 9:11 pm

from arc du triumph to la concorde (2km) spent 1minute, so the maximun speed was 120km/h
January 28th, 2010 at 11:28 pm
i was thinking more of with a side car but they could have used a gyro balanced camera, either way there is a lot of data on it and it apears to have been done in a mercedes but I still think it was done on a biks simply because of the small roads that it ended up going through and also the arch way it went through had the camera nearer to the right side yet when it squeezed past a bus it was right up at the kerb yet no pavement mounted

Hmm, wouldn’t a bike have leaned a bit more going around corners?? Also It could have been filmed much slower and sped up to give the appearance of speed. The number of red lights he ran
January 29th, 2010 at 12:30 am
at 3.27 there is one headlight on the wall
January 29th, 2010 at 1:20 am
It must be a bike cause there was no over or under steer or skidding and also he would have taken something
January 29th, 2010 at 2:08 am
if you jump so many red lights today.. YOU WILL BE SHOT DEAD BY POLICE!!!

January 29th, 2010 at 5:58 am
bc this world has turned into a over populated place and great things like what you see in this video (no one in the streets and few cars) will probably never happen.
