that too but then you are limited to like zero driving miles, and weekend driving only. Lots of the times if someone gets in a GTR, they try to register it as a track car, or get a state registration from the DMV, Ive noticed many of the JDM cars have arizona plates – assuming its easier to obtain a state registration there or something.
- the thing about state registration is that a cop could still impound your car

You can import with the “show and display” (also called Gates’ 959 law…), even if the car hasn’t crash-or-other-tests.

you cant import a skyline because they have not undergone crash/safety tests that say they comply and are safe to be on US roads. I am aware that the R33 crash test documents are saved from Motorex, so if you pay the big sum of money for it to meet smog and safety regulations they are US legal. the R32 and R34 crash tests by motorex were fake or something so as of now there are none.

only to import them it is illegal…R32s are legal to import but not as good/cool as R34. you can import them through companies who ship the cars to america in parts and assemble the car for you, and its registered as a kit car etc..
