@dalebshelton
So? In 1994 and 1995 they were never championship winning cars. Suddenly Schumi comes in at 1996, he scores 4 poles and 3 wins for ferrari. And in 1997 on they were championship contenders. Certainly Ross Brawn and Rory Byrne also had something to do with that, but to say Schumi did nothing to ferrari is absolutely ridiculous.
And for fuck’s sake I consider Senna to be the best driver ever – but I am sick of all his fanboys finding ridiculous excuses to undermine MS!

@Anime998877
“They” as in mclaren btw
June 13th, 2010 at 12:40 am
@dalebshelton
How the hell do you consider the ferrari to be the best car of 1998? They had 9 fucking wins to ferrari’s 6 which were all won by Schumi. They had more 1-2s, more fastest laps AND They won races by absolute miles, in Australia both mclaren’s lapped the field THE ENTIRE FIELD, in Brazil they won by 60 fucking seconds! In Imola they won by 50! In spain by 50! In monaco by 40! And so on! Schumi was incredible in 98 to almost win the title.
June 13th, 2010 at 1:11 am
@dalebshelton
You complete idiot – of course Irvine could be put into a position to win if his rivals are dying with car problems all the time, his team mate Salo OUTQUALIFIED him in Germany, and Salo also let him win the race. And Schumi let him win sepang. He would have never been in a position to challenge for the title without all that.
June 13th, 2010 at 1:25 am
@Anime998877 If I noticed, Ferrari won their first race without MS. Kimi became world champion with Ferrari. Ferrari won in 1994, and 1995. and was in posisiton to win more races. Schuey couldn’t do shit witout Ross Brawn putting his diapers on for him..how old are you? No one doubting MS’s talent. Here you dumb fuck,. We are just not going to put him as a better driver than Senna, off course you can’t accept it.
June 13th, 2010 at 2:18 am
@Anime998877 That is a stupid fucking way of looking at shit. Your a fucking idiot. The fact is If Irivine can be put in position to win…then it showed that shcuey wasn’t shit. And how the fuck do you know that Mclaren was better? What proof do you have. Why don’t you tell every technical director who uses team mates as measuring sticks. The only rival Schuemacher ever had was who ever was driving a ferrari
June 13th, 2010 at 3:01 am
@mallamoozoo
That is an absolutely absurd comment. Mansell’s 92 williams had a 2 second advantage to every other car. The ferraris from 00-04 had nowhere near that advantage.
June 13th, 2010 at 3:40 am
@dalebshelton
Once again. Stupid comment. Perhaps Schumi never had good team mates. But he had very, very strong rivals. Especially Hakkinen, but the difference is Hakkinen had the best car in almost every year. Look how dominant the mclaren was in 98, yet Schumi nearly wins the title. In 99 no doubt Schumi would have won if not for the bad luck he sustained and also a leg injury…
June 13th, 2010 at 3:49 am
@dalebshelton
What an absolutely ridiculous comment. Irvine nearly won 1999 because he had 4 inherited wins, and Hakkinen had 3 mechanical failures WHILE LEADING. Ferrari were pathetic without Schuey, no world championships in 20 years and not even close to world championships in 10-15. Yet Schumi takes 3rd in the champ in his debut with ferrari and nearly wins the 97-98 titles and in 99 he broke his leg. In 07-08 they also had Schumi’s input – remember all the testing he did for them!?!?

The best driver, in the best car, at one of the bests track in F1. . .Can’t get any better. . .
And LOVE Japenese commentary. Can’t be beat!!!
June 13th, 2010 at 4:36 am
@mallamoozoo
Remember that when Senna became Prost’s team mate in McLaren, Prost had 28 overall wins which made him the most successful driver of all time in F1. Prost was one of the all time greats, that Senna beat him in the same car speaks volumes.
Mansell had Piquet as team mate, who was already a two time champion.
Interestingly enough none of Schumacher’s team mates had even won a race when becoming his team mate.

The Most beautiful cars in F1. I miss this ära
June 13th, 2010 at 5:37 am
1. Senna
2. Clark
3. Fangio, Schumacher
4. Prost
Prost cannot be higher compare to Clark, Fangio and Schumacher!
June 13th, 2010 at 6:16 am
@mallamoozoo You Put Ayrton Senna in a Ferrari that goes 39 races without a mechanical Failure. How many times would he captitalize. You put Ayrton Senna in Jerez with a 4 point lead on Villinueve..do you think he would even get along side? You put Senna in Japan with a chance to win against Hakkinen and you know that the result. You put Ayrton Senna in a Ferarri in 2005 that is just slightly slower than the Renault and Mclaren…he would pull off more 0 wins head to head. Thats Senna.
June 13th, 2010 at 6:32 am
@dalebshelton Excellent point – Senna’s 8 wins in his first year in Prost’s home team is absolutely sensational – i’d say worth 14 or 15 out of 16 against Irvine.
And then in Senna’s 2nd year, after he had settled into Prost’s home team, Senna wiped the floor – winning 6 (7 counting the egregious Japan disqual) and leading 4 others until mechanical failure handed Prost his only 4 wins – but for mechanical letdowns, Senna would have won 12 nil even against the great Prost!
June 13th, 2010 at 7:22 am
@clay111 maybe maybe not – Schuis ferrari’s from 2000-2004 were pretty much like Mansells 92 Willaims – so how good would mansell have looked if illiams had that dominance from 88-92?
June 13th, 2010 at 7:35 am
If senna was the one with 91 wins and 7 titles. And MS was the one with 41 and 3 would this conversation even come up..no. Simply because like my friend Mallamoozoo once said. its the quality of those wins. But the fact that the better driver had less win and most expert will agree, we have to look inside the numbers…When senna had the best car…he also went up against the best possible..so 8 wins in 1988 could have been 12 wins out of 16 if Eddie Irvine was his team mate….just my idea
June 13th, 2010 at 8:29 am
@mallamoozoo MS won 3 races without Ross Brawn behind him. Senna won with so many different people behind him, different engineers. This idea that MS built Ferrari into a winner makes me laugh. No one built Ferrari. They were already buit. They had the pieces in Place, they never had to worry about a big sponor deal, they never had to worry about engine deal…and everyone wanted to work for Ferrari…MS was just a piece of the Puzzle and eventually he was eventually let go.
June 13th, 2010 at 8:33 am
@clay111 Prost was better than Prost. In 1999, when Ferrari Shifted their effort to back Irvine. Look what Irvine did. He never won another race for any other team but nearly became a world champion in a Ferrari. As good as Hakkinen is and I love Hakkinen. he didn’t do as well once Senna left. Mclaren didn’t win again for almost 3 years after Senna left…Lotus never again…..Ferrari did just fine without MS and so did Benetton.
June 13th, 2010 at 9:14 am
@mallamoozoo I think we can also say this. Brundle made some commets in 1993 about how he thought that that MS was better than Senna. Once he drove the McLaren 1994 he realized what an animal it was and till this day Brundle will still consider Senna the better of the two driver. And who is to say that the Fw16 was better than the B194. Senna was not a computer…he was trying to control a car that was designed to be controlled by computers.ake that away..and you realize how great Senna was

wow Ron looks so young!
June 13th, 2010 at 12:19 pm
Bit harsh in all honesty – he would perhaps have matched Mansell on 30. But the 90 is meaningless – we all know why!
Schui is probably top 10 of all time – commendations to him on that – its a remarkable achievement. But that is boring compared to the deity of THE SENNA – we all know he was from another planet – another dimension – a superhuman racing driver.
June 13th, 2010 at 12:29 pm
Nice, ayrton senna the best ever .
